I’ve been revisiting Verner’s design lately. Verner is one of the most complicated characters I’ve ever drawn. It’s so fucking hard to get him right.
From the very beginning it was decided that the protagonist wouldn’t sport the usual slim body type common in those games. I wanted him to be fat, but deciding how fat was a problem. I was going for a parody or something it would be easy, but I wanted him to look fat and still be fairly charming and unique.
